Education Philosophy

I believe education is about asking questions and seeking answers, experimenting and discovering. In the art room students experience different cultures and ways of thinking, they are taught to question and seek answers, fine motor skills are exercised, and many life skills are learned.  I would like my students to learn the skills and thinking that is needed to create art, but in doing so they will also learn determination, craftsmanship, observation skills, time management, creativity, to communicate visually and to take and give criticism. My goal is to help students succeed for themselves and in their communities.
